I'd like to think this cruise ship ran aground in a flood and was evacuated before the waters receded, or broke loose from its moorings when it was unoccupied. But the Yangtze is a monster of a river, and regularly puts lives and property in great peril. This is probably a minor event in the scheme of things on this river. This ship is slightly smaller than the one we were one, and identical to many we saw up and down the river.
