Dining in China is totally dfferent from in the U.S. Our vegetarian menus were pre-set. There was no ordering. Eight or ten of us sat at a round table with a heavy glass lazy susan, which was standard equipment everywhere we went. Then the food started coming on. Small servings of more than a dozen dishes were enough to fill us up. When the soup came, it was time to wash out the rice bowl and sit back, utterly sated.
