There were several dolphins that were accustomed to being hand-fed by a young girl sitting on a the plank at the bottom of the picture. This one had an oddly twisted snout, but compensated with a very friendly personality. The pink color isn't very apparent in this slightly overexposed photo, but is a fact.
The color of the water is apparent in this picture, and is the reason for this branch of the Amazon being called the Rio Negro. Large as it is as it approaches Manaus, the Negro is only one of three rivers that join in this area to become the Amazon.
