It's easy to forget when you're getting a soaking rain at ground level, but it's always clear above the clouds, and aerial landscapes like this have a drama all their own. I often see the clouds as solid surfaces, and imagine climbing over them with ropes and axes, or even without equipment, since a fall would lead to a soft landing, it would seem.
